SNOEK FISHING
The "Cape Snoek" is a species of Snake Mackerel, which is found in our waters off the Southern Coast. Feeding mostly off pilchard and anchovy, this fish can reach up to 2 meters in length.
These fish are mainly caught while stationary on baited hooks, jigging or spinning. Snoek is the most popular fish to our local community as it provides many sustainable incomes for our people in the Cape.
